Bio:

I was born in the North of Germany, and raised in the city of Hamburg and America. My father’s work as a high-energy physicist greatly influenced me. His world of science with synchrotrons, electromagnetic fields and sub-atomic particles traveling near the speed of light was fascinating and mysterious to me as a child. When I was growing up, I would also spend long summers in the mountains of Wales with friends, who were artists and living self-sufficiently on a farm. Later, I moved back to America on my own for what I thought would be a year of college, and ended up staying much longer. I studied Fine Art and English Literature at Principia College, and received my MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. I now reside in New York City, and work out of my studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where I investigate the nature of systems, both man-made and organic.
